Brain fog is a common complaint for women going through menopause. During menopause, the drop in oestrogen and progesterone can affect the brain, leading to symptoms like forgetfulness, difficulty concentrating, and mental fatigue—collectively referred to as "brain  fog.“

Many women experience trouble with short-term memory during menopause. This can include forgetting appointments, losing track of conversations, or having difficulty recalling names or words.

Menopausal brain fog often makes it harder to focus on tasks for extended periods with many women finding themselves easily distracted, struggling to complete projects, or feeling mentally "scattered.“

Brain Fog can affect your ability to think clearly, focus, and remember things. This is where Promensil BRAIN FOG can help.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Does menopause affect the brain?

Yes – menopause doesn’t just bring physical changes; it also affects the brain. Changes in oestrogen levels can lead to cognitive changes like trouble focusing and mental fatigue. Some women describe this as feeling mentally ‘foggy’ or less sharp than usual.

  • Is brain fog a symptom of menopause?

Brain fog is a well-known symptom of menopause. It can show up as forgetfulness, difficulty concentrating, or feeling mentally sluggish. This happens because hormonal shifts – especially a decline in oestrogen – affect the parts of the brain involved in memory, focus, and cognition.

  • Does brain fog from menopause go away?

For most women, brain fog is temporary and tends to improve after the body adjusts to its new hormonal balance. Some women find that lifestyle changes, like prioritising sleep, staying physically active, and taking brain-supporting supplements, help clear the fog faster.

  • Does menopause affect memory?

Yes, menopause can affect memory – especially short-term recall. The hormonal changes during menopause influence brain function, which is why menopause and short-term memory are linked.

  • Does memory improve after menopause?

For most women, brain fog and forgetfulness improve after the transition through menopause. As hormones stabilise, the brain often adapts to its new normal, and mental clarity can start to return.

  • Is low energy a symptom of menopause?

Yes. Low energy is a frequent complaint during menopause. Fluctuating hormones, sleep disturbances, and even the emotional toll of other menopause symptoms can all contribute to feeling drained and tired. Many women find that supporting their energy levels with good nutrition, exercise, and targeted supplements helps combat that menopause fatigue and boosts vitality.
